Description: This colorful still life is not loud or overpowering. It provides color, harmony and a balance between a seemingly static arrangement and movement of the lines within the image. Colors and subjects include a pale blue pitcher, a little yellow jar in front of the pitcher, a warmly colored wooden bowl, with an orange in front of the bowl. In front of the orange is a red apple and a green pear. All these items are arranged on a small round table draped with an orchid pink cloth. This pink cloth continues up the wall to drape as the center of the background. To the left of this is a second drape in lavender and to the right of the pink drape is a honey yellow wall.
Technique: The original of this image is a pastel drawing on charcoal paper. Such pastel drawings are very delicate and even with fixative they can smudge when handled. When you see your limited edition giclee print you will be afraid to touch its surface because it appears to actually be a pastel drawing. It is however a well crafted giclee print and will not smudge. For this first edition the limited edition print is smaller than the original drawing.
