Description: Figure it Extended is Figure It with an extension added to the lower right  area of the image. The mass of serpentine line work has been extended significantly and moves the figure into a more central position in the image.
Techniques: Figure It Extended was accomplished by scanning the original drawing and removing the paper from the background as well as groups of lines. After that it was moved on the paper to make place for the additional design elements and reprinted. All the lines were  redrawn by hand to darken them and the extended areas were drawn on as well. The redrawn print was scanned again and as before the background paper removed. The erasing of the background paper is an important step which prevents the program from attempting to print it's interpretation of the scanned texture of the paper.
