This is the Abstract Art Gallery at Gallery Renee. The term Abstract Art is a description of style and not the content or medium used to create it. Here in the Abstract Art Gallery we see images which focus on color, line, composition and texture with very little realistic rendering of a recognizable subject. Most of the images in this art gallery are executed with the surprising medium of ballpoint pen.

"I enjoy doing abstract art with ballpoint pens. I do not plan them. They start with a clean piece of paper and a pencil. I draw a line or shape and then I find the next line or shape and the next one after that. So it goes until I have something on the paper that I like. I enjoy the creative process of abstract art. It frees me from the pressure of getting the rendering right as in more classical styles and allows me to focus on technique, texture, color, shapes, and lines."
