The Pen and Ink Art Gallery At Gallery Renee

Not all of Renee's Pen and Ink Drawings are done with ballpoint pen which is why we felt we needed two art galleries; one for Ballpoint Pen Art and this one for Pen and Ink Art. A main difference used to sort the images is in the use of color. Traditionally Pen and Ink drawings tend to be monochromatic, black or blue ink on white paper or brown ink on cream paper are some examples. Pen and Ink Drawings also tend to show more of the paper since the images are composed of flowing lines on paper. Renee's ballpoint pen drawings tend to cover all or most of the paper in regions of texture and color and of course they are drawn with ballpoint pens. Some of Renee's art work is clearly one, Pen and Ink, or the other, Ballpoint Pen. But, because Renee often use pen and ink with ballpoint pens and because of the consideration of color content and paper coverage the distinction between Renee's Pen and Ink Art, and her Ballpoint Pen Art is not always so clear.
